  2. A view of Tacloban City at the Calvary Mountain

After three months of stay here at Tacloban City.  This was the first time we explore the city.  No tour guides or any instructions from the people.  Tamang trip lang..but it’s worthy…

What we plan was to go to the Chinese Temple which was unfortunately close during the visit.  We decided to return to our favorite tambayan (Robinson’s Mall).  And the view of Jesus on the mountain caught our attention while walking and heading to the city proper. I already saw the statue of Jesus a few times while we jog along the Leyte Park.  But since we are all new here we don’t know how to get to the Stations of the Cross (Calvary Mountain).

Reaching the top of the mountain feels great!  You’ll see the view of the Eastern Visayas.  Unfortunately I don’t have a nice cam.  But still grateful I have my phone cam.  I was able to capture the sceneries which I can treasure for life.  I was able to see the view of San Juanico bridge which connects the Samar and Leyte. And other things which a simple phone cam can’t be captured.

  9. Do you still remember this guys?

    Invictus
    William Ernest Henley

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
    For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
    Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
